Sitting at nearly 33 weeks pregnant, I  filmed a quick mobility video to give some ideas of how to keep yourself moving during pregnancy. I have continued my training throughout pregnancy, still lifting weights at the gym and doing interval training. (all be it a little lighter than usual) Dany would have chopped my legs off if I had continued leg pressing 200 kg ;-)

Have a quick look at the video- Mobility in Pregnancy it’s suitable for all special populations or just to use as a nice mobility session a few times a week to keep the body moving or even just to get the body moving in the morning.

You could do one round of ten repetitions or use it as a circuit and repeat the whole sequence two or three times.

So even if you’re not in the pregnancy club, check it out and leave your feedback.

A good workout in the morning could prevent snacking later in the day, according to data from Loughborough University in England. Exercisers who ran for 60 minutes at about 70 percent of their top effort (70% Max Heart Rate or 7 on the RPE scale of 1-10) before breakfast reported less hunger for two hours after eating, compared with those who did not exercise before the same meal. Their conclusion is that intense training may suppress an appetite-fueling hormone, so you’re less tempted to munch in between meals. Read the rest of this entry »
